Insurance & Fees

Working with an out of network provider:
As an out of network provider, coverage may differ from seeing someone in-network.
Working with insurance can be difficult and claim reimbursement verified by phone or through an insurer’s online system is, in their words,  “not a guarantee of coverage”.  Any fees not covered by your insurance plan is ultimately  the responsibility of the patient. While my office does its best to get information on your insurance coverage, please make sure you understand the benefits and restriction of your personal plan.

Most patients coming to my office are “self-pay” and will receive a superbill to submit to their insurance. A superbill is an itemized invoice which contains all the necessary information for your health insurance to process your claim and send reimbursement directly to you.

How insurance billing works:
Depending on your insurance coverage and whether your deductible has been met, you may be charged a co-pay or the self-pay rate at  the time of your visit. Self-pay or Time-of-Service rates are discounted from insurance fees because our office receives payment up front and avoids office costs involved with billing. Please contact me for fees as they may vary.
